Diana Edwards, born and raised in Mississippi and transplanted to California and Hawaii, began her artistic career with an interior design class in college. Because drawing instruction was required for this class she furthered her education along those lines and proceeded on to acrylic and oil paints, studying under Leandro, a well-known and respected painter in northern California, where she discovered an interest and talent she didn't know she possessed. She is always continuing to learn and grow and her next area of study will be in watercolors.
Diana enjoys very diverse subject matter ranging from still life, landscapes, flora, fauna and the human figure. She has recently become interested in tropical themes.
She has displayed her paintings at many local and mainland galleries and has successfully participated in art contests.
Diana does not restrict herself to painting but has an interest
in many other forms of creativity. She is currently designing
and making decorative mechanical water fountains. Interior design
was and remains her frst love and she enj oys decorating household
items in unusual ways which she recently has been doing with toilet
seat covers, turning them into works of art.
