VIRGINIA SPENCER

Virginia was born in N. W. Indiana, has been living in Hawaii 24 years, and joined the Seniors in August 1992. She has been painting about 43 years and likes all sorts of media; Oil, Watercolor, especially Landscapes, and also Sculpting.

Her formal Art training began in Oakland, CA., where she attended U.C. extension Art classes and San Leandro Adult education classes and then went on to study South of the Border at the Mexico and Americana Institute in Guadalajara and San Miguel-Allende Big Art Center.

She owned an Art Gallery in Lomita, CA and more recently owned and operated an Art Gallery in Pahoa.

Virginia lives in her art-filled home in Kapoho Farm Lots where the Art Group barged in on her one morning for coffee and home made goodies.

Virginia teaches Painting to small groups and a short while back gave a Painting Demo to our Seniors Art Group, paying us the ultimate complement by becoming a member of our Paradise Painters Art Group. You can find Virginia at Hilo Hattie's every Wedsnday and Thursday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. If you would like to speak to Virginia about purchasing a painting, call her at 808-965-8693.

Thank you Virginia.
